The Idea

From a lesson assignment given to my previous 3D visualization student, came a very interesting and tempting project. This Pepsi advert artwork was first crafted in the form an assignment I had given out to my previous 3D visualization student, as a step by step guide to 3D product design & visualization.

The task was to come up with a series of 3D & 2D visuals that could be used as advertisement material for Pepsi. The major tool be used during this exercise was a 3D animation software called Blender, with Adobe Photoshop being the minor in this and was to be used for post-production tasks such as Color Correction and Color Grading.

The Result

After about 2.5 days of work, I crafted the beautiful and visually stunning advert posters that combine both 2D & 3D design works. The rusty-hazardous like posters are my favorite because I went far and beyond out the ordinary poster design structure and visual appeal, to being a disturbing emotional sense and feel to the idea.

First of all, I had render/export an image of the 3D Pepsi can model in a flat and front facing view, then importing it into Adobe Photoshop use first hand color correction and grading.

Secondly, I started layering the entire composition from the background all the way to the text layers themselves. The rusty-hazardous look and feel was created by combining images such chemical factory labels, septic tank cover, metal scratches, etc.

To finish it off, I decide some simple but effective color grading steps to ensure that all the elements match, blend and fit altogether. And of course, I had to add some text so as support the stunning visuals with a sensible message.

And there you go my friend(s), one of my favorite and interesting projects of the year 2024.
